July 24, 2026 – Stronger Data Privacy Safeguards and Platform Scalability Improvements
This release adds an extra layer of protection for SMS verification and improves platform scalability through smarter use of database resources.
1. Enhanced SMS Verification
Component: Security
An additional monthly limit has been introduced for one-time password (OTP) verification codes sent via SMS, tracked per app installation or browser profile, on top of existing limits. This optional control is available for tenants who want an extra layer of protection and is off by default.
Value: Provides an additional safeguard against abuse or excessive consumption of SMS verification codes, helping control costs and protect against automated misuse.
2. Improved Platform Scalability & Performance
Component: Platform-wide (.NET services)
Read-only operations across multiple backend services now route to dedicated database read replicas instead of the primary write database, reducing load on core platform infrastructure.
Value: Improves platform responsiveness and scalability under load, supporting continued growth without impacting write performance for critical operations.
