April 14, 2026 – Smarter, Self‑Healing Renewal Scheduling

With this feature we've improved how Seamless handles changes to a policy's renewal mode — a key workflow for insurers managing mixed portfolios (e.g. transitioning from group/mandatory cover to individual voluntary cover).

1. Automatic renewal job scheduling when switching renewal modes

  • Component: Underwriting

Policy renewal handling is now smarter: when you change a policy from "No Renewal" to an active renewal mode, Seamless automatically schedules the renewal job—no manual intervention needed. If a renewal job is already scheduled and settings change, the job adapts accordingly. This reduces the risk of missed renewals and gives underwriting teams more confidence that renewal workflows stay in sync with policy configuration.

Business Impact
  • Fewer missed renewals. Policies transitioning between renewal modes (e.g. mandatory group → individual voluntary) no longer fall through the cracks.
  • Improved renewal conversion. On-time processing reduces lapse risk and customer churn.
  • Reduced operational load. Operations teams no longer need to monitor and manually trigger renewals after a mode change.
  • Safer for complex portfolios. The system handles all edge cases — including mid‑flight mode changes, expired policies, and product‑level vs policy‑level renewal settings — predictably and consistently.
  • Better audit trail. Jobs are scheduled, rescheduled or removed as a direct result of mode changes, making the renewal lifecycle fully traceable.

This improvement is especially valuable for insurers running phased product transitions (e.g. moving customers from a mandatory group policy to a voluntary individual product at expiry), where getting renewal timing right is critical to retention and compliance.
