September 18, 2026 – Claim-Aware Document Access
This release strengthens how claim documents are accessed, so that document visibility follows access to the claim itself.
Component: BOP / Claims / Documents
Claim documents are now retrieved through the claim itself rather than through a general document search. When a user opens a claim's documents, Seamless first confirms that the user is entitled to that claim, applying business rules such as claim limit groups, and then gathers the related documents on their behalf. This covers documents uploaded from the back office, policy documents linked to the claim, and email attachments, and it works without any changes to existing document records.
Value: Ensures people only see the documents belonging to claims they are authorised to handle, strengthening protection of sensitive claim information while keeping the experience seamless for claims teams.
Component: Finance
Claims transactions that share the same reserve reference are now booked in their natural business order. A reserve is booked before any related adjustment or payment, and a payment adjustment follows the payment it relates to. Transactions waiting on a prerequisite stay pending and are picked up automatically in a later run. If a booking is only partly completed, the next attempt resumes from the next required step, so completed steps are never repeated. Organisations can also configure a near-zero value range so that immaterial reserves are skipped without holding up related payments.
Value: Keeps accounting records consistent between Seamless and the connected finance system, reduces manual reconciliation effort, and gives claims and finance teams greater confidence in claims bookings.
Summary:
This release delivers a more secure and consistent way to access claim documents, aligning document visibility with claim permissions and giving organisations greater confidence in how sensitive claim information is protected.
