September 4, 2026 – New Accounting Integration Options and Smarter Finance and Document Monitoring

This release extends accounting integration options for new partners, adds configurable automation for low-value accounting transactions, and introduces proactive monitoring for document content.

1. New Accounting System Integration

Component: Finance

Seamless now supports integration with an additional external accounting system, enabling managing general agents and other organisations that use it to carry out their day-to-day accounting directly from the platform. Each instalment is booked as its own sales order, customer accounts are created and kept up to date automatically, and the resulting order reference and payment status are reflected back against each booked instalment.

Value: Speeds up onboarding of new partners that rely on this accounting system and keeps financial records consistent between Seamless and their accounting environment, with less manual re-entry.

2. Configurable Automation for Low-Value Accounting Transactions

Component: Finance

Finance teams can now define, per transaction type, a value range within which accounting transactions are automatically marked as "Export Not Needed". This applies to earned premium and claim reserve transactions, works independently of the accounting provider, and is only active where it has been configured. Suppressed transactions remain stored and available for reference, along with a clear reason for the decision.

Value: Removes routine manual clean-up for negligible transactions, such as zero-value earned premium entries or small placeholder reserves, while keeping a complete record and keeping accounting exports focused on meaningful values.

3. Proactive Monitoring of Document Content

Component: Documents

A new monitoring and notification flow alerts the support team by email whenever a document record is still waiting for its content after a period of time.

Value: Gives support teams early visibility of any document that needs attention, so it can be reviewed before a customer or colleague needs to open it, supporting a dependable document experience.

4. Enhanced Payment Failure Insights

Component: Finance / Underwriting

The data feed used to evaluate payment collection outcomes now carries richer detail — including counts of failed, paid, and pending instalments and the outstanding balance tied to failed collections — rather than just a raw list.

Value: Enables faster, more accurate automated decisions around grace periods and policy termination, reducing reliance on manual lookups and supporting consistent handling.

Summary:

This release broadens the accounting integrations Seamless can support, gives finance teams configurable control over low-value transactions, and adds early-warning monitoring for documents, helping partners onboard faster and operations teams work with greater confidence.
